Introduction to Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance is the systematic process of determining whether a product or service meets specified requirements; in any educational institution, the quality assurance process is implemented to determine the process of learning and education and the qualities of graduates met.
In the UoR, the Quality Assurance (QA) process has been implemented based on the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research since it was established in 2010.

It consists of five main components.

Teaching Quality Assurance (TQA)
Continuous Academic Development (CAD)
Curriculum Development
Assessment of Teacher's Portfolio
Licensing and Accreditation

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Office

Accreditation Compliance

Ensuring that the university meets accreditation standards set by relevant accrediting bodies. This involves coordinating accreditation processes, preparing documentation, and facilitating site visits.

Curriculum Development

Collaborating with academic departments to develop and review curriculum to ensure it meets academic standards, reflects current knowledge, and addresses the needs of students and stakeholders.

Quality Assurance Policies

Developing, implementing, and revising quality assurance policies and procedures to promote academic integrity, fairness, and transparency.

External Reporting

Compiling data and preparing reports for external stakeholders, such as accrediting agencies, government bodies, and ranking organizations.

Professional Development

Staying informed about trends and developments in higher education quality assurance through professional development activities, conferences, and networking.
