Delegation from US Consulate General Erbil Visit University of Raparin

In a meeting, held at the UoR’s Council, the UoR President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Paiman R. Ahmed, met with a delegation from the U.S Consulate General Erbil, consisting of Ms Iddiko Hrubos, Deputy Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Reving Mizouri, Higher Education Adviser, Hawbir Hama Ali Abdullah, Director of Sulaimaniyah American Corner, as well as the UoR Council members, Director of UoR’s Directorate of Relations, and Director of UoR’s Career and Development Center (CDC), on April 7th, 2024, to discuss several important issues.

At the start of the meeting, the UoR President presented a brief history about the University of Raparin. Then the Deputy Public Affairs Officer pointed out the importance of their overall relations with the University of Raparin and other administrations in the region. She further insisted on the Consulate’s commitment to strengthen their relations with the UoR in terms of joint work and academic exchange programs.

Later on, Mr. Mizouri gave a brief talk about the works and projects sponsored by the U.S Ministry of External Affairs.

At the end, the delegation led by the University President, attended the American Corners’ last lecture held at the University of Raparin during which the course participants received participation certificates.
